Adding Friends Press the community hotkey (u) and under the Friends tab you can add/remove friends, check online/offlline status and send a whisper. Once you press the 'add friends' button, an input window will appear where you can enter the character name. The friend who is being added must be online for this function to be completed, if the selected user does not assent to the request, the friend will not be registered. After the character name is entered and the confirm button has been pressed, the other person will receive a friend request window where then can accept or deny the request. If the other user accepts, each of the friends lists will be updated and their online/offline status can be checked. If the character is online, the icon button will be lit, and if they are offline, the light will be off. If you select the friend character on the list, the name will be show in your chat window automatically in this form: $character name. You can then enter your message and send a whisper. If you select the character name on your list and press the remove button, a deletion confirmation window will appear. Once you remove the character name from your list, it will also be removed form the other person's list as well.
